Correlation-based Stereo

The differences between the left and right images of a stereo pair can be used to obtain 3D-information of a scene. In biological vision systems, this process is fast and very secure, but technical approaches fall short. Your can try here, with your own pictures, a correlation-based stereo algorithm often used in technical applications. For comparison, check out a a new stereo algorithm proposed as a basis for biological stereo vision!
